讲座人简介:

Sandie Byrne was formerly Professor and Chair of English at the University of Lincoln, and Fellow of Balliol College, Oxford. More recently, she moved to Kellogg College, Oxford, a graduate college, and is Associate Professor in English at the Oxford University Department for Continuing Education. Her research interests are in twentieth- and twenty first-century poetry and in the works of Jane Austen. She is the author of a number of works on nineteenth and twentieth-century writing, including Jane Austen, Mansfield Park (2004) and Jane Austen's Possessions and Dispossessions: the Significance of Objects (2014), The Poetry of Ted Hughes (2014), The Unbearable Saki: The Work of H. H. Munro (2008), H. v. & O: The Poetry of Tony Harrison (1998). Dr Byrne has experience of working with the media, including television and radio interviews. She was adviser on the TV adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma.
